Meet Manisha
Manisha Sunil is a communications strategist with nearly a decade of experience partnering with mission-driven organizations to craft winning messages and get them in front of the right audiences. Previously, she served as Director of Communications at Groundwork Collaborative, advancing progressive economic policies and narratives in the media and among policymakers, grasstops leaders, and academics.
Prior to that, she worked at West End Strategy Team where she advised and executed communications campaigns for dozens of social change organizations on issues including racial justice, gun violence prevention, interfaith advocacy, international human rights, and more.
Manisha is an expert in placing impactful stories in traditional media–from print to broadcast in local and national markets–as well as helping organizations break into new media landscapes like podcasts, Substacks, and collaborations with content creators.
A proud Marylander, Manisha has a B.A. in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park with a minor in Sustainability Studies, and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She currently lives in Washington, D.C., and is always looking for new hike recommendations.
